The Hillary Ride… The Obama Bandwagon…
The race isn’t over yet, and with Hillary’s whopping 10% (actually it was more like 8.3something) win she is not likely to just up and leave anytime soon. Face it, she’s not going ANYWHERE ANYTIME SOON and we will have to watch her sinister grin for at least 6 more weeks, cause if this isn’t decided by June – and she hasn’t left – then I am predicting that the Party will simply fold and get swallowed up by a hole in the Earth – k… That was a bit of fiction.
There are minions out there that believe that she is still electable, even above and beyond Barack in the Fall in a race against McCain, and that simply isn’t true. Barack’s much more electable, though I am not saying, nor hoping that Hillary would loose.
As Primaries end and we enter the final weeks of hand shaking, baby carrying, and stories about senior citizens and their plights with Health Insurance, we’re in for a new shift in things as the Hillary camp tries to make delegates seem unimportant as the DailyKos points out in, “It used to be about delegates…” which illustrates that the Clinton camp has been shifting their idea of delegate counts as it is no longer what they CAN use to win.
On the other side of the coin Obama’s fighting a recent rash of coming across as weak, and I agree with some of the assessments out there… Obama needs to grow some good old fashioned cojones and he needs to step it up a notch so Hillary doesn’t trample all over him on the “I’m more experienced cause I’ve slept in 80 countries” bit. I know the man wants no part of the negativity, but COME ON Obama, do you think Hillary cares? Does anyone? The media is pushing all the negativity – think about the 53 minutes they spent asking about your relationships no matter how trivial, and Hillary’s living off it.
Look at it from Dansac’s position over at the Daily Kos:
While Obama is in the driver’s seat for the nomination and for victory in the fall, he and his campaign need a re-boot. He seems tired and un-refreshed, and there is an element of mojo missing from the man and his message. Some of the luster is off and he needs to re-capture the shine and the magic. In a word, he needs to adjust. The good news: it’s well within his power to do it.
And he MUST. His Campaign MUST. If they want to have a REAL chance in the Fall. Maybe if Obama took some of that speaking energy we know him to have and he can pump some of it into a slightly stronger stance against Billary (did I just say that?) then more and more undecideds will lean in his direction, and perhaps, just slightly some of those white women that for her will too.
Think about it.
