So Hillary’s Staying, and Obama’s Still Going… McCain, Who?

So, I’ve been away for a week or so on a trip to Costa Rica - yes, it is as beautiful as you hear and you should add it to your list of places to visit. While I was there I sorta neglected to update the site, though I yearned to get back home so I could put some thoughts down. In the future I plan on making sure that the site gets updated at least daily or as quickly as I can possibly muster on my own.

So? Where are we? Where’s Hillary? Obama? McCain?

Though Hillary’s been asked over and over again why she chooses to stay? She’s clearly pointed out that she’s going nowhere soon and will be with us well into DNC in a few months. In one way she’s being a little selfish, but in the same breath, she’s not completely out of her whits. I mean she is a candidate in one of the Country’s most defining races ever – an African American man and a woman are running. She’s going to stay in the race as long as it takes, and it would be political suicide for her to drop out except when completely clear she will loose the nomination – according to some she doesn’t stand a chance mathematically, though there’s some math out there that shows her winning.

To help her in her mathematical demise, over the weekend Clinton’s chief strategist resigned his post. Mark Penn left the Clinton campaign after meeting with the Colombian government regarding a trade deal that Hillary Clinton opposes.

Obama’s still going strong picking up some additional endoresements these past few days, but more importantly picking up some additional Superdelegates.

If YouTube were to be a forum by which to measure the candidates, while visiting their very own political corner – dubbed “You Choose ’08” it is interesting to note how many YouTubers out there subscribe to the candidate’s individual YouTube sites, and how many videos each candidate lists:

Obama
     859 Videos (63.35%)
     42577 Subscribers (72.25%)

Hillary
     313 Videos (23.08%)
     12387 Subscribers (21.02%)

McCain
     184 Videos (6.73%)
     3964 Subscribers (13.57%)

So, how’se that for interesting? Note the balance of things, and how they compare to the current polls? If it were up to YouTubers today, Obama would win by a landslide. He’s currently ahead of Hillary in a number of polls, though he’s withing the margin of error in most of them – meaning Hillary’s within striking distance.

How do we make a difference? VOTE.

McCain is out there doing his thing, which seems to be fending off comments on misstatements and sheer Bushisms out of his own yapper – need I remind everyone why exactly we don’t need another Bush in the White House? Seems like McCain makes just as many verbal slips as Bush does.
